Kenya is a well known country in the East Africa. Climate in Kenya

Kenya has a hot, humid tropical climate. The nearer the coast the more humid it is but in the north and northeast, the weather is drier. In March and may there is a lot of rain and in October and November there is slight rain although this doesn’t affect hot it is. In the evening the temperature can fall but in the day, it is generally sunny. The hottest time is from February to March and the coolest is July to August also bear this in mind when booking for the summer holidays.

What to do in Kenya

There’s no doubting that Kenya is most famous for its amazing wildlife. The so called Big Five live in Kenya’ the Leopard, the Lion, the Elephant, the Buffalo and the Rhino. Birds and reptiles can also be found in Kenya and the rarer animals like the Blue Wildebeest and Bovids who take part in migration every year as they forage for food in the dry season. If you visit Kenya on safari you must take your sun cream and camera to capture the animals in their natural habitat.

Kenya also has 40 different tribes all having their own language and culture; the Masai are perhaps the most famous for being lavishly adorned in bright jewellery and clothing and for creating amazing song and dance.

Remember that as a tourist you may be sold a lot of goods whilst you are out shopping and do haggle, as a tourist you will be charged inflated rates. If you request a photo, you may also be expected to leave some coins for the person too.
