Flights
You can fly to Phuket from the UK from most of the major international UK airports, such as Manchester and Heathrow. Several airlines will now fly directly to Phuket International Airport, whereas in the past a stopover in Thailand’s capital Bangkok was necessary. This can make life easier if you are travelling in the summer as Bangkok airport is one of the busiest in the world. Thai Airways holds flights to Phuket throughout the week. Other airlines include British airways, Cathay Pacific, Singapore airlines and Asian Airlines. Many airlines require a shot stop over in a South East Asian country first and then onward with a local airline like Air Asia, Tiger Airways and Nok Air. Sometimes, flying with a stop over or two can actually make the cost of travel cheaper than going direct. Book in advance for the best prices.
