Places in Saudi Arabia
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is one of the wealthiest and luxurious countries the world. It is oil rich and almost 100% of its exports are oil. Saudi Arabia is bordered by Kuwait, Qatar, UAE (United Arab Emirates) Oman, Yemen and Bahrain. The country is Islamic and therefore follows certain rules, such as prayer times and women should be dressed conservatively. The Kingdom is also known as a holy land, “The land of The Two Holy Mosques” in reference to Mecca and Medina which in Islam are sacred places. Saudi Arabia is not around its problems for the UK tourist; it runs under Islamic law which follows a different code from we are used to in the West. For example, there are violent ways to punish criminals and there are rules directed towards women that people may find difficult to accept, like the fact that women are not allowed to drive on public roads. When visiting have discretion and follow rules.
